About the Conference

Spurring on the Momentum is the theme of the 2006 annual conference of the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals. Concurrent sessions will be presented as one of four types of presentations: (1) Skill Building and Training, (2) Success Stories and Projects, (3) Program Curricula, and (4) Research. Concurrent sessions and the poster session will highlight programs and research developed and implemented by Cooperative Extension professionals and their federal, state and local partners. Subject matter tracks include:

  • Economic Development
  • Community Decision-making
  • Education and Workforce Development
  • Information Technology Literacy
  • Local Government and Community Services
  • Land Use and Natural Resources
  • Leadership Development
  • Developing Successful Community Initiatives

The conference will begin Monday evening, February 13, 2006, and run through noon on Thursday, February 16, 2006. The National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals is the organizational vehicle by which we in Extension can strengthen and coordinate the resources and delivery of community and economic development programs.
