The annual U and Your Economy program focuses on cutting edge research about the Minnesota economy while also promoting new Extension community economics programs. By bringing campus researchers to regional centers for the day, economic development professionals are updated on economic trends affecting Minnesota. In addition, the connection between Regional Educators and University research base is reinforced. Part of each day is devoted to showcasing new programs including the research base, the program benefits, and how the program can be of assistance to communities. As a result, demand for extension community economics programs have increased.
