Rural Community Colleges as Partners

The Rural Community College Initiative (RCCI) project from the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development and the Southern Rural Development Center partnered the community development mission of land-grant universities with the community service role of community colleges over the past three years. Fourteen rural community and tribal college teams involving 16 colleges were partnered with Extension coaches work together to address rural development issues.

Short program description: Learn best practices for collaborating with rural community colleges in economic development, educational access, and civic involvement identified by extension coaches in the Rural Community College Initiative in North Central and Southern Regions.
