Have any of your local employers wondered
if their employees have:
- Transportation challenges?
- Food security issues?
- Childcare concerns?
- Financial problems?
Participants of this session will discover how Columbia County's
Labor Forum, facilitated by UW-Extension, provided information (using
role play, small group discussion circles, lecture and team collaboration)
to area employer's about:
- what challenges some limited income families experience and
how does "poverty" impact Columbia County's labor force;
- how their company can examine its policies and procedures to
better accommodate people who live in poverty;
- give them an opportunity to network with area service-providers
who are serving limited income families in their community.
